White Island

Now the summer started our friends and family from the Northern hemisphere come over to visit us and New Zealand. The first weekend of November 2009 we went with friends to the Bay Of Plenty to visit White Island. This is an active volcano, located 50 km from the coast of Whakatane. With mudpools, vents and yellow sulphur colours this landscape is spectacular and well worth visiting!
