Wai-O-Tapu Mud pools

Imaging steam coming out of the ground, the sound of bubbling water & mud and the continuous smell of rotten eggs… welcome to the thermal area of  Wai-O-Tapu! In June 2009 we visited this area during another short trip to Taupo, Turangi and Rotorua. These two photos are made at the mud pools of  Wai-O-Tapu.
