About

As person
I grew up in the South of The Netherlands and moved to Utrecht (The Netherlands) when I started studying Urban and Regional Planning. As part of my study I went to Barcelona (Spain) for an internship. In my spare time I love to take photos, do some running, surfing & mountain biking and travel as much as possible. After living in Utrecht for almost ten years, my partner and I decided to move to New Zealand for a couple of years. After a three month trip with our campervan through this beautiful country, we now live in Auckland.
As production/event manager
During my last internship I got welcomed in the world of events. After working one summer season at various festivals, I got a job as production manager at Mojo Concerts, the leading concert promoter of The Netherlands. For three years I was responsible for the production of concerts and festivals. These productions varied in size and complexity, from small tours in local theatres to leading international artists in major indoor or outdoor venues. For me, the highlights of the year were the summer festivals. Since I moved to New Zealand I started working as a production/event manager on a freelance base. My most recent project was working for Rugby World Cup 2011 as a logistics coordinator. Have a look at Events for a list of all festivals, in- & outdoor concerts and projects that I worked in the last years.
As photographer
Since I got my first compact analog camera for my 19th birthday, I was fascinated with making photos. One analog and two compact digital cameras later, I decided that I needed better equipment. So I bought a second hand digital single-lens reflex camera, a Nikon D70, and two lenses (Nikkor 18-70mm f3.5-4.5 & Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6). Last year I got a new extra lens, a Nikkor 50mm f1.8. Recently I decided to upgrade my camera, and bought the Nikon D300s.  See Photos for a selection of my favourite photos.
